Bernard Lévesque is a professional artist and an active member of the arts and culture community in Eastern Ontario for over forty years. He specializes in oil painting, illustration and large scale works. His contribution to the artistic landscape of the region includes several murals in Ottawa and Prescott-Russell, the development of community-based art projects, and the founding of the Clarence-Rockland Artists' Association in 2009. His work can be found in venues, establishments and homes from coast to coast, and around the world.

From an early age, Bernard Lévesque demonstrated a talent for drawing and an unbridled sense of imagination - the foundations on which he built his future artistic career. He went on to study commercial art and worked in the field for over twenty years. This experience shaped his artistic practice: he paints with a meticulous precision, anchoring his work in modern hyperrealism. In 2000, Bernard left graphic design to concentrate on his artistic practice and establish a teaching space to offer classes and workshops to his community on a daily basis: Studio Art Plus, in Clarence-Rockland, ON. He has since developed a passion for sharing theoretical knowledge and practical techniques with students of all ages.

To this day, it is this community vision that motivates his work and artistic practice.
